Chinese culture reveres foot binding. But I find so much wrong with it. God didn't design us to have tiny, broken feet. Where did we get the idea that was proper? (Okay okay, no lectures on Chinese heritage, please.) Anyway, I'm so glad I wasn't born into this time period. My size 10 clodhoppers wouldn't react well to being folded over. (They were a size 7 when I was 7, so yeah, I've always had a big foundation.)
I would have been left out in the show to die. Six feet tall, huge feet and a mind of my own. Yep. I'd have been a huge cloud of shame on my family.
