Boy Meets Boy - David Levithan

To quote another reviewer, sorry, but I'm not drinking the Kool Aid.

I went into this thinking I would be getting a nice M/M romance. But what I really got.....Um.....No. Just no.

I know it's supposed to be over the top and outrageous, but geez. The cheerleaders rode Harleys and jumped them off a ramp at a pep rally. Just from a realistic viewpoint, no school would allow that. Call me a party pooper all you want. Oh well.

I just found it to be more of a parody of being gay than the reality of it all. Drag queens walking around school, a grade-schooler running for class president under the slogan "Vote for me- I'm GAY!". A sixth-grader starting swing dance classes at recess. I have a headache.

Nope. Not for me. Nothing against the story or the writing. Just not my cup of tea. (And no, I am NOT gay-bashing. I'm bi, so that would be hypocritical of me. I just didn't like this.)
