Seeds of Plenty - Jennifer Juo

I have no idea what the point of this book is besides to depress the Hell out of me. There didn't seem to be any true closure to anything. Just a lot of bad things happening, a lot of sad, miserable people. It was like Desperate Housewives, only stranded in Africa, without the hot pool boys and a lot more death.

But I read it, like I promised. My obligation is fulfilled. Yuck. Now I feel like I need to hide in the dark, eat Ben & Jerry's and cry. How can I forget I read this?
