I am just going to admit defeat. This book is so dull it's making me dread it. The characters are much more likeable than in Uprooted. But I still don't like them. So I just sold the book to Half Price while I was there this weekend and I'm returning the audiobook. I'm giving up on Novik. While the worlds are unique, everything else is just no. Dense, wordy, boring. At times, down right stupid. Next.
