North of Beautiful - Justina Chen

This books makes the Bad list because of the concept. The girl is gorgeous but *gasp* has a birthmark on her face. And therefore she must do all she can to leave her youth behind and find her beauty. Meh. Maybe I would feel worse for her if she had a missing limb or a deformity. But just a red birthmark on her face? Yes, kids are mean little shits, and she can be bullied. But this doesn't seem like a questing type thing. I guess I will decide in a chapter or two whether this is worth my time or not.
