Tears of the Silenced: A true crime and an American tragedy; severe child abuse and leaving the Amish - Misty Elaine Griffin

I started this book in late 2016, and while I enjoyed it, it was just so full of bad that I had to put it down for my own sanity. Then my husband found the author on Reddit by accident. She did an AMA and he told me "Hey, this lady says she wrote a book..." and he began to describe this very book. I sort of laughed that he managed to stumble across something I had actually been reading and he knew it was a book I would enjoy. So I'm going to finish it. I want to know how she gets out of this horror.
